The housing for the stepper motor that's used as a generator for my LED bike light. It's the cover for a baby bottle (being a grandma has it's many rewards :)
You can also see the mounting bracket that holds the generator next to the wheel. It's made from a piece I scavenged from an old VCR ( I think) It has a pivot that lets the generator move up and down.

The ultimate result was that I replaced the Shimano halogen headlight with a Spaninga LED model. (I used a bracket from a battery light to mount it up high.) Now both lights have the standlight feature, making me feel safer at traffic stops.
